WatchList
The problem. I watch movies and shows across multiple platforms and receive recommendations constantly. Keeping track of what I had watched, what I was currently viewing, and what was coming up became a fragmented mess. Worse, I had no way of knowing if a recommended show was actually worth my time before clicking play.
Why I built it. To design out the friction of modern streaming. Instead of fighting platform algorithms that push what they want to sell, I wanted a system built purely on my own taste data as the ground truth.
What it does. It consolidates my watch history, current viewings, and watchlist in one place. Beyond tracking, it analyzes my historical ratings and taste patterns to find new content I might enjoy. I also built a Telegram bot integration: I can ask it if a show is right for me, and it returns a personalized analysis explaining why it matches (or clashes with) my taste.
The benefits. I never lose track of shows, and I only spend time on content I actually enjoy. The Telegram bot eliminates decision fatigue—turning a 20-minute scroll through Netflix into a single, data-backed query.
